Participation is open to both first responders and our local community. Climbers under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult and remain with them throughout the climb.

Registration opens June 1, 2023. Please visit the registration page and fill out the necessary information. The registration fee must be paid at the time of registration. All major credit cards are accepted.

The registration fee for online registration is $35 from June 1, 2023 until September 15, 2023. After September 15, the registration fee increases to $45. On-site registration is available the day of the event for $45 as well. All registered climbers are encouraged to raise a minimum of $110 to represent the number of stories in the World Trade Center buildings.

The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is not a timed event. This is a symbolic climb to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Climbers are encouraged to pace themselves and take breaks when needed.

Our suggestion: respectable attire that is most comfortable for you. Previous climbs have seen everything from full gear wtih SCBAs, military and service uniforms, athletic clothing, custom t-shirts and even themed accessories. We ask that whatever you wear, you make sure you are prepared for the weather and able to climb without an issue.

Spectators are welcome to join us for the event, there will be separate seating roped off and we ask that you do not enter any of the roped off areas for the climb. There is no cost for spectator admission, but we encourage you to show your support with a donation. 

Local emergency crews are on-site for the duration of the climb. In the event of an emergency, event volunteers will communicate with emergency personnel.

We do ask that participants access their level of fitness before the climb. If at any point the climb becomes too difficult, we encourage climbers to take a break or stop climbing in order to keep them safe. The climb is not a timed event and participants can climb to any desired level. 

Water stations will also be placed around the stadium throughout the climb route, but we suggest that climbers hydrate before the event as well.
